Against all expectations, the Executive Board of the Nigeria Football Federation yesterday approved Coach Shuaibu Amodu and his technical crew to take the Super Eagles to the African Nations Cup, Angola 2010 and FIFA World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
Dr. Shehu Adamu, who briefed the press after the board meeting said, "The committee unanimously adopted the position of its Technical Sub-committee and the Coaches Association of Nigeria, which on Tuesday November 24, 2009 recommended that members of the Super Eagles' technical crew should be kept in their post for the African Nations Cup Angola 2010 and FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010.
A board member, Stephen Gyegbon who reacted to questions on why coach Amodu should be allowed to take the Super Eagles to the World Cup said, "Nigerians should have faith on coach Amodu to take Nigeria to the Nations Cup and World Cup.
