High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, and other Niger Delta militants yesterday prayed for the speedy recovery of President Musa Yar'Adua, saying they were solidly behind him.

In a statement signed by Tompolo and made available to our correspondent in Warri, the fighters said, "We wish Mr. President quick recovery from his ailment and pray the Almighty Allah to continue to guide, protect and preserve him for the good work God has sent him to do in Nigeria".

According to them, they would continue to back the President with prayers and always support his progammes especially those affecting Niger Delta region.

The statement read: "I, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) on behalf of Ateke Tom, Victor Ben Ebikabowei, Fara Dagogo, Ogunbos, Joshua Macaiva, Africa, Young Shall Grow, Chief Bibopere Ajube, John Togo, Chief Jacob Odiki, Chief Mosco Johnny, Ezekiel Akpasibewei and others too numerous to mention wish to felicitate with President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and other Muslim faithful on the occasion of the celebration of the Muslim feast of Eid el-Kabir.

"We also wish Mr. President quick a recovery from his ailment and pray almighty Allah to continue to guide, protect and preserve him for the good work God has sent him to do in Nigeria.

“Finally, we want to assure Mr. President that we are solidly behind him and fervently praying for his speedy recovery".
