The Police Commissioner, Zamfara State command, Mr. M.J. Abubakar, has directed the arrest of two political figures occupying the posts of youth leader of the state ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party, and another youth leader of the committee of the incumbent governor's continuity come 2011.

The two,  according to the confessional statement made by the principal suspect in police net, Auwalu Usman, were Alhaji Abdulhamid Mamanu and Aminu Mutawalle respectively.

The divisional police officer in charge of Tudun Wada division in Gusau, Abubakar Muhammad Shika, told newsmen that police have discovered an audio cassette in possession of the suspect playing an imitated voice of a personal aide of the PDP state Secretary, Alhaji Garba Yusuf, aka Popular, as the representative of his boss, making a deal of terror with three other voices as assassins.

As confessed by the suspect, the two politicians were the brains behind the assignment given to him, which comprises tarnishing the name of the party state chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha, and ruining the reputation of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bawa Muhammad Gusau.

Other attempts include smearing the image of the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Musa Zubairu, who has been labelled to sponsor the  assassination of  the state Youth Empowerment Committee (YECO) Chairman, Alhaji Ismaila Zakariya, over his ambition to contest against Governor  Shinkafi in 2011 gubernatorial party primary elections.
