The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), says that it stands on the side of the constitution in dealing with the issue of ailing President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.

Venerable Peter Ogunmuyiwa, Secretary, CAN, FCT, made this disclosure in a recent conference to intimate the press on its forthcoming Abuja night of power in Abuja.

"All CAN is saying is that the constitution of the land be followed in addressing the issue of our ailing president. The Church will not join issues with politicians by taking sides," he said.

On the Jos crisis', Ogunmuyiwa said that true religious leaders were always diplomatic in handling crisis.

"Instead of fighting each other, Christians and Moslems meet under an umbrella called National Inter - Religious Council (NIREC) to dialogue and come up with resolutions for nation building.

On the upcoming night of power scheduled for February 12, 2010, the State Overseer, Deeper Life bible church FCT Pastor Raufu Hassan, said, it will be unique.

He said it will hold at the Papal Ground Kubwa where the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, will be guest minister.
