About Us

LEADERSHIP is not a regional or sectional paper.
It is a national paper symbolically embedded in the nation’s capital.

We shall stand up for good governance. We shall defend the interests of the
Nigerian state even against its leaders and we shall raise our pen at all times in
defence of what is right. These are the values by which we intend to be assessed.

We shall never, ever, for any reason forget the noble reason of our coming into being:
For God and Country!

Leadership in Nigeria focuses mainly on 3P’s namely politics, personality, and performance. The current style of political leadership in Nigeria concentrates on team orientation, charisma, participation, and humane orientation. The findings of LEAD (Leadership Effectiveness in Africa and Diaspora) suggested that there is a great impact of culture on leadership. The Nigerian cultural factors that dictate the impacts are ancestral cultural beliefs and community landmarks based on moralistic behaviour.

Nigeria considers a good leader to be honest, fair, trustworthy, knowledgeable, well educated and sociable. These leaders should also cater to the needs and welfare of their people amidst challenges and grave circumstances.

Nigeria faces several challenges in its leadership such as:

  1. Elections – Good powerful leadership arises from credibly held elections, who later sets effective goals. However, election processes in Nigeria are greatly flawed, as leaders are created or self-appointed by kingmakers. As such, elected leaders do not necessarily have to work or answer to the general public, rather are manipulated by those who put them in power, otherwise known as the God Fathers. Moreover, selfish motives and personal interests as against the needs of the common man govern such leaders. Nation’s wealth is looted for personal gain rather than utilising it for the country’s developmental activities.
  2. Corruption – Another challenge faced by Nigerian leaders is corruption as this promotes corrupt governance, deteriorates the confidence of the public, damages delivery of public service and embeds wrong people in governmental roles. The greed for power and personal motives is what drives corruption in Nigeria.
  3. Employment – Nigeria is one of Africa’s most populated nations. However, the growing population does not match the nation’s richness. Younger generation lacks good education and job opportunities and as a result, they turn out to be the nation’s liability as against being nation’s assets.
  4. Lack of Participation – Leaders in Nigeria lacks good governance and as result, they do not work towards establishing a bond between the leaders and the people. Additionally, Nigerian leaders do not allow participation from the citizens in governmental activities such as planning of governmental policies, decision-making processes and different implementation processes. Moreover, leaders work as sole kingmakers only to put their priorities before everything else as compared to the priorities of the people.
  5. Ineffective delivery of services – Challenges continue to rock Nigeria in the form of poor services such as lack of food, shelter, primary health care, education, well-maintained roads, and electricity that are essential for the development of humanity. Leadership should focus on pursuing sustainable programmes for the Nigerian population.

Binary robot will take care of trading on your behalf

A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon a new kind of trading in stocks and shares and that is entirely done over the internet. I love trading but I always thought that this was cumbersome. But this new style of online trading has really caught my fancy.

I am reading up on it:

My research up to now has proved so satisfying that I am cursing myself for not knowing this earlier. I must have wasted so many years of my life trying to figure out what exactly it is that I want to do in life. So, here it is, exactly my kind of field. The binary option robot is one hell of software where I do not even need to manually trade. I can set the software on a robot mode and the binary robot will take care of the trading on my behalf. Wonderful, isn’t it?
